WHY BUY ONE
OF OUR SAFES?

WE MAKE EACH SALE PERSONAL & STAND BEHIND OUR PRODUCTS

Buying a safe should not be a passive decision. When it comes to securing your valuables, you should have high expectations in the investment AND the company that stands behind the product.

Through our 50+ years of business, we have seen and dealt with many styles and brands of safes. Purchasing a generic safe from a "big box store" may seem like a great idea at first, but what happens when that safe fails, your safe is caught in a fire or someone breaks into your home and destroys the safe? Local service is the answer to these questions. At Lake Area Safe & Lock, we consider every sale to be personal and we stand behind our products. Our safes were designed by locksmiths, with a higher standard of quality, fire rating and burglary protection than the "big box store" safes. We work side by side with our brands to make sure you receive the service you need, when it is crucial. Being local, you can call our office when you have questions or need assistance and never have to speak to a recording or punch numbers just to speak to a representative.

5 THINGS
TO THINK ABOUT WHEN PURCHASING
A SAFE

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN PURCHASING A SAFE

There are many factors to think about when you are considering the purchase of any safe. We have narrowed them down to five general topics one may think about when it comes to investing in a safe. â€‹

WHAT LEVEL OF SECURITY AND FIRE RATING DO YOU NEED?

Size, fire rating, and security features are the most common questions that many people think about when they decide to purchase a safe. Our safes are made with 2 things in mind, highest quality and total security. These are tough safes for the toughest situations.

WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO STORE IN YOUR SAFE?

Safes are used to store important paper work, jewelry, money, or anything a customer considers to be of value. Depending on what you are trying to secure could help you determine what class of safe would be best for you.

WHAT IS THE VALUE OF WHAT YOU ARE KEEPING SECURE?

Many customers not only have financial value in what they are keeping secure, but sentimental value on items as well.  Putting your confidence into a product to secure these valuables can be the weighing decision when it comes to investing in a safe. Don't let the initial price difference for better quality, cause you regrets if the time comes that your valuables are at stake for security - the expense could cost you a lot more in the end to replace your valuables.

HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT A BUDGET?

Out of all the questions listed, this is the question that should concern you the most. Budget is everything, especially when it comes to security. There are many brands of safes that may be appealing to the eye and the wallet, but the old saying, "you get what you pay for" does ring true when it comes to safes. Our safes are very competitive in pricing when you stack them against the "big box store" brands. You are not only paying for better security, but the customer service, quality, and reassurance you are buying a superior product is undeniable when you look at our safes side by side to theirs.

WHERE ARE YOU PUTTING YOUR SAFE?

Buying the safe is one thing, but the journey where the safe is going and its final resting place is the next half of the battle. It is best to keep your safe in a climate controlled setting. This will help prevent any type of humidity inside the safe. There is nothing wrong with garages or shops, as long as they are climate controlled. The journey to the safe's final location is something you need to keep in mind. Hallways, door frames, and step-ups are all factors that come into play. Manufacturers always measure the safe from edge to edge. They usually do not account for the hinges, dials, and spokes in their Depth measurement. We always tell customers that it is best to add 2.5 - 3 inches to the depth of the safe's exterior measurement. You would hate to get a safe to a doorway that is too narrow, preventing it from entering the desired room.
